Sono state svelate le nomination per la 76esima edizione degli Emmy Awards, pochi mesi dopo la cerimonia degli Emmy 2023, posticipata a causa degli scioperi simultanei di SAG-AFTRA e Writers Guild of America, che hanno paralizzato il mondo delle serie TV. A causa di queste proteste, il numero di candidature è diminuito in tutte le categorie per l’edizione di quest’anno.
L’annuncio dei principali candidati, trasmesso dall’El Capitan Theatre di Hollywood, è stato condotto da Tony Hale, noto per Veep, e Sheryl Lee Ralph, celebre per Abbott Elementary, entrambi premiati con l’Emmy. La serie “Shōgun” di FX, ambientata nel Giappone feudale del XVII secolo, ha ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination, ben 25. “The Bear” di FX, già premiata nella cerimonia di gennaio, ha stabilito un nuovo record per le serie comedy con 23 nomination.
